I made my first post on the new forum and saw that I was a "junior member" with 1 post, very humbling. I don't remember how many posts I had on the old forum but I know some had several thousand and I seem to regard those as more knowledgeable or at least more in tune with the airgun community. I sure got more shooting in while waiting for the new forum to come back, how about you?

Hey Bullshooter, Sure glad to see the SS Chat Room back up and running. I sure missed everyone. Did see a few of the gang's posts and comments elsewhere. Say check out the link and see if you recognize anything:

I was getting worried. I saw it got hacked and was like wow, it's gone! Glad to see it back!
For my own protection, (someone stalked me under my old name) I won't say who I am, but anyone who knew me on the old forum knew my avatar! It's back!

Bullshooter, yes the loss of post count hurts, but I did change my member setting to Long Time Poster instead of leaving it as Juniour Member. Check it out in your profile section. It won't replace the post count, but it will at least let some know who were the long time posters. Of course, some of us will recognize each other by the names we choose or our Avatars.

SS is one of my favorites, so it's great to have it back up and running.
There's not much of a correlation these days between experience, knowledge, common sense and post count... so I wouldn't dwell on it too much. In my mind, the ability to communicate with kindness, consideration and clarity is what establishes a forum members credibility.
Cheers,
C

Howdy Ed,
I checked out your post and sure sounds good. I'm really looking forward to getting together again and trying out your tuned R9. I talked to my sister who lives in Dallas and she said it was in the 20's so I think I'll wait for the weather to warm up a bit before I make the tirp again. I got my R9 out last night and did a some shooting at my indoor range - I was amazed at the twang that stock gun has compared to my tuned guns. I guess I'll have to spring for a tune on my R9 some time in the future but I'm going to shoot the heck out of it until I get my pennies saved up.
Take care and say hi to the Mrs.

Yes, we all get a clean slate.
When Thomas Edison's lab burned down he said "We have burned up all our mistakes" and he started fresh.
We all get a second chance now. We should make the best of it.
Thanks Kevin and Craig for giving us a place to hang out.

Let's stay on the down low with the rivalry before a Duke fan shows up. LOL

Brutuz, well done!!! I liked the video and you make it look so simple to customize Crosman pistols. If you don't mind me asking, how much did all the upgrade parts cost? I sure like the way that gun looked - enjoy.

It's really good to have the forum back. I got a lot of information from you all. Must say, it would be nice if we all had a clean slate and second chances in other areas of life.
