I bought this new in about '78 from Beeman's when they were still in San Rafael. I lived outside of Calistoga in those days and spent a lot of time shooting pistol, rifle and air rifle. My neighbor helped me get a good job so I bought one for him and we had a heck of a time shooting target, silhouettes and squirrels.
We had a neighbor with a nice walnut orchard who asked us to help with the squirrel problem in his orchard. He was late so they had fed on his walnuts for quite a while so when we dusted a few dozen of them as we sat at the bottom of the trees we had a big feed for a lot of the hoity toity wine folks in the neghborhood. We made a real good stew of walnut flavored squirrel. It was great. Everyone was very impressed with it and wanted to know what it was. We of course waited for everyone to finish before letting them know what they had just eaten. Some were less than impressed but it was excellent. Pretty comical really.
It remains a great gun, but I have some questions which I'll post in the springer section.
