Anyone wanting to get a shot at one of Dennis's 50 airguns needs to get ready. Details are on his site. It's not a phone call thing now, he draws envelopes.

It's not any easier, still only 50 names. Just like winning the lottery...

I beg to differ. Now EVERYONE has the same chance, not just the first 50 people. You might not even be in town when you need to call and get on the list and now this way you have an equal chance. I think that's a great way to do it.
I've spoken to Quack, he's a great guy to deal with and seems very knowledgeable about airguns.

Go to his home page if you take a look at the shooter that took the Bison that was quite a feat. Sniper99 is a very good friend we did the Oklahoma Hog hunt together him and his wife both are into big bore guns.
Big Bore guns are in a league of their own specialized for one task that is hunting larger game with air vs. powder.

A photo of him taking something a little bit smaller! He is a fantastic individual on and off the hunt..

You may not be in town but you can still call. Everyone has a cell phone and Internet is everywhere...
Yes, he is a great guy and very knowledgeable about AGs, nobody is questioning that.

This might shock you, but internet and cell phone is NOT everywhere. Well, internet is if you want to pay through the teeth for satellite.
That being said, being able to drop an envelope in the mail anywhere over a 48 hour period and have an equal shot at being selected is a lot nicer than having to man a phone and act like it's a call-in lottery for a radio talk show program. This might surprise you, but not everyone has a cell phone, or even a home phone. For instance, ME! I have a magic jack only, and no cell phone. If my net goes out, I am unreachable. And the net here is not 100% reliable, but the post office is pretty damn close.

Point taken, sir.
Change of subject: I wish big bore AG ammo was a bit cheaper...$30-35 for a box of 50 is knocking at the .308 Win. Match Grade door.....

I wonder if the .30cal airgun he makes would be good enough for home defense. What about the .458 or the .50 cal? I would imagine that 99% of the time simply having a gun would be enough to quell any would be robbers (where firearms aren't permitted). I would imagine so.

You are obviously buying your ammo in the wrong places! One of the best things about bigbore airguns is how much cheaper they are to shoot than powderburners.
I pay about $28 for 250 boolits (cheaper than most roundball).

It's either you are buying your ammo from places no one knows about or Seth, Mr. Hollowpoint, and few others are your buddies....anyway, I don't shoot bigbores anymore so I don't care how much it cost.

I've been posting links to cheap slugs for a couple of years, so people should know about them. I know several bigbore airgunners that are shooting the same stuff. Look to the Cowboy Action Shooting crowd, Hornady/Speer bulk swaged, and private casters found on the boolit casting forums (I get my hollowpoints at $18-$20per100 from one of them).
I will never pay $30-35 for 50 slugs. Those are the most expensive cast boolits in the world. They pretty much have to be, as Robert spends a fortune on molds. I'd pay what Seth charges (around $18-20 per 50) for his WFN slugs for hunting use, though.
Cheap shooting is a big part of what airguns are all about. Here are just a few links to what is out there....these prices are typical in the cast boolit market.

OK. Just thought I'd let people know that they don't have to pay PB prices to shoot their bigbore airguns.

Quackenbush?
Could you apply a more poor sounding name to any product. I dont care how good the product or the name being a true name in origin. For petesake change the damned name. Quackenbush? Are you kidding me? How about Mooinmeadow, or Fartentree, or Burpfrombelly.
What an utterly ridiculous marketing gaff. And that is a GAFF.
