Ha ha ha... I know what you mean. If I hadn't taken the one I posted just yesterday, I wouldn't have any decent pictures at all. Too bad both myself and my camera are crap... I'd like to have a few really good quality photos some day.

Creeper,

I love the picture of your HW. That's my next rifle in .22 cal. However, I have a question for you; did your rifle come with the adjustable shoulder pad? I am prepared to purchase within the next month and would love to order my new HW laminate with an adjustable shoulder butt.

If not, where did you purchase your adjustable should butt?

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

On both my HW97Ks I've fitted Morgan adjustable butt plates (http://www.morganrecoilpad.com/servlet/Categories?category=Premium+Adjustable+Recoil+Pads ). They're not particularly expensive, take about 1-2 hours to fit with hand tools, less if you have a belt or disc sander, and add a nice touch of class to just about any rifle you install them on.

http://creeper.smugmug.com/Sports/HW97K/morgan-plate-001/754934725_DjLBB-M.jpg

Because there is a layer of foam between base plate and pad, they also seem to make guns a bit less shoulder sensitive when shooting from a bench. They will increase your LOP buy about 1/2" however, so depending on your build, you may want to shorten your stock.

Cheers,
C

Ok, I'll play. I used to have more but I am happy with these 3. I wouldn't mind a nice HW35 with open sights though or another R9 in .22 with open sights.

Thanks!
The new stock feels even better than it looks! I was a bit worried that it was going to bulk up the light feel of the R7, but although it is a bit heavier, the balance is just incrediblel now. It shoulders very nicely.

I apologize Xristos, I was not aware that English is not your first language. My question was regarding the price or cost of the stock. I've never seen prices quoted for ginb stocks, so I was curious.

I don't know what country you are in either, so the price you paid may not be relevent for me in the US.

C

Was my fault because i did not edit my profile !

Ginb stocks if i remember right they start from 220-230 euro and the Ft stocks are near 350 euro and this prices are with transport . The problem to me was and is the taxes ! You can e- mail Antrea and ask .
I can say that their job is fantastic .

That is nice! I was looking at this one (a "#2") on the ginb site...

http://www.ginb.it/im_prod/norm/no002.jpg

Similar to yours, with a bit deeper belly and trigger guard elimination.

Another I like, although I don't really need the adj. comb, is the "FT-10".

Terry,

Do you mean the stock on the AA410? If so, yes that is the thumbhole stock that comes from AA. The nicest piece of wood I have ever encountered on a factory stock.

Mike
